Admission Process

We are currently accepting applications for Primary to Secondary levels for the 2025/26 and academic year and beyond.

As our intake is limited, all registrations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Once capacity is reached, successful applicants will be placed on a waiting list. We encourage early registration to secure your spot.

Our eligibility criteria for admission include the following: 

1. Age & Level Suitability

• Student is within the appropriate age range for KSSR, KSSM, or Cambridge Pathway level.
• Placement is based on age, previous schooling, and basic academic readiness, not exam results alone.

2. Ability to Follow Online Instructions

• Student is able to listen, respond, and follow basic teacher instructions in an online class setting.
• For younger learners, parental support at home is required during or after classes.

3. Basic Communication Skills

• Student can communicate at a functional level (verbal or written) suitable for online learning.
• Our students are mostly second-language learners, so perfect English is not required.
  
  

4. Commitment to Online Learning

• Students and parents understand that IR Academy follows a structured online academic programme with scheduled live classes.
• Regular attendance and active participation are part of the programme commitment. Flexibility is provided with a valid reason.
  

5. Technology Readiness

• Access to: Stable internet connection, Laptop / tablet
• Basic digital literacy (with guidance for younger students)

6. Special Learning Needs

Students with learning differences may be considered case-by-case, depending on:

• Ability to follow instructions
• Level of support required

• Suitability of our current class setup

Compliance Requirement

In line with compliance considerations, IR Academy primarily enrols students who are:

• Migrating / residing abroad and require continuity with the Malaysian or UK syllabus.
• Experiencing medical needs that limit physical school attendance, or
• For all other circumstances, eligibility will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and parents are required to consult with IR Academy prior to enrolment.
